Happy Birthday Camden!

So it's a few days late... who's counting! My youngest nephew, Camden celebrated his 1st birthday (September 26) with a party on September 27th. It was a great time for all.

It was hot that day, but the pool wasn't... C was the only adult to brave the cold water!
Isaac finally decided that the water was too cold

Field Trip and Other Fun

Isaac had his first Kindergarten field trip on Friday; the Kindergarten classes went to the Morning Glory Apple Orchard in Nolensville. All the children seemed to have a great time. After touring the orchard, the children learned more about apples and how to make apple cider. They also talked about honey bees and were able to taste some honey after tasting an apple too. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

Family Fun

This weekend we were able to spend time with family that we don't see that often, and we all had a great time! Here a couple pictures from the afternoon.

Isaac loved the diving board!

Alex was excited to jump in, but it took a little while before he'd actually do it.

I'm not sure what he was mad about here...

Then he decided he wanted to jump off the diving board too!

Isaac had a great time playing pool (without a stick).
As always, Alex enjoyed the chips and dip!

Thanks, Donna and Paul, for hosting a wonderful afternoon!

Isaac's 1st day of Kindergarten

Today was Isaac's 1st day of Kindergarten. He was very excited to go to school this morning. We went to school yesterday for Registration, and he found his classroom and got to meet his new teacher, Mrs. Thompson. This morning I was pleasantly surprised to see that Isaac remembered exactly where his classroom was. Then, once he got to his room, he remembered where Mrs. Thompson told him the day before to put all of his things. I was so proud of him! He even let me take a picture of him and Mrs. Thompson. Today was a good day!

Ouch! and Ewww!

Isaac starts Kindergarten on Friday, and because of that he had to have a physical and shots. Isaac did pretty well with the physical part, but when it came time for the shots, it was a different story. He screamed and cried, and a mother doesn't like to see (or hear) their child in pain. So, naturally, I teared up too. When the nurse was finished with the 4 shots, he said, "THAT HURT!" I know it did, and I felt so badly for him.

Then, this morning I heard him crying from our room, and then I heard him yell, "Daddy, I threw up!" That's not what you want to hear at 6:00 in the morning! So, needless to say, I immediately jumped out of bed. Clarence doesn't deal well with throw up, so I was left to clean up the carpet (that seemed to be evenly sprayed) while Clarence cleaned Isaac up in the bathtub. Before I could leave for work, he threw up again, but at least this time it was in the bathtub!!

After Isaac's doctor's appointment yesterday, we took the boys to the park to try to get some pictures. Here are a couple of them.

Poets and Pirates Tour 2008

My mother and I went to the Poets and Pirates Tour concert on Saturday. Overall, the show was great! There were moments I didn't care for, but overall, it was very enjoyable. I met a very kind girl and her husband, and was able to get copies of some great pictures from her. I took some too, but some of hers seemed to turn out a bit better than the ones I took. Enjoy!
