first and last

Isaac has six games left in his first season of baseball.  He has played soccer for the past several years, but he decided he wanted to try baseball.  So, that's what we've been doing this spring.  He is on a fairly good team; they've won and lost almost the same number of games.  Isaac is still learning, but he has improved greatly from when he started practicing in March.

Last Friday was his last day of elementary school.  In the county we live in, elementary school ends at the fourth grade.  It seems so strange to me that he'll be starting a new school in August.  We toured the middle school a couple of weeks ago, and he was so excited.  He is ready for middle school, and that makes this transition easier for me.  I am just so amazed that I will have a middle school child, an elementary school child, and a newborn.  Wow.

baby HLM at 33 weeks

In just a few short weeks, our lives are going to get even busier.  But thankfully, the sports will be over until winter basketball.  C decided that the boys didn't need to play soccer while we are adjusting to having a newborn again.  I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't think it was fair to the boys, but they don't seem to mind, and I am actually glad now that we won't have to juggle that along with everything else.  We are still in the process of getting our house ready to sell, and we are hoping that once we get it on the market it will sell quickly.

49 days

I had another doctor's appointment yesterday.  I am currently 32 weeks and 4 days.  Miss HLM will be here in 49 days.  Wow.

Total Weight Gain:

4lbs since last appointment (man, she's growing!), 13 pounds total

Maternity Clothes:

Gender:

GIRL

Movement:

She moves all the time, but her movements have changed.  I now feel more rolls and turns than kicks and punches.

What I Miss:

Nothing.  I am trying to enjoy every little thing, even the discomforts, since this will be our last pregnancy.

Cravings:

Anything cold: Frozen lemonade, Frozen Coke, Slushes from Sonic

Symptoms:

Still significant swelling in my hands, ankles and feet.  Pretty bad carpal tunnel in both hands now.

Best Moment of the Week:

Finishing up all the shopping for HLM after my last baby shower.  And, scheduling her delivery.

What I'm Looking Forward To:

Putting her travel system and play yard together and installing the car seat bases.

10 things

I was looking at my posts from last April to remember what we were doing this time last year, and I realized that I didn't post ten things about Isaac like I did last year on his birthday.  So, here it goes:

1.  He wears size L and XL (or adult small) shirts, size 12 pants and size 5.5 shoes (up two shoe sizes from last year!)

2.  The Oklahoma City Thunder is his favorite NBA team.

3.  OKC Thunder player, Kevin Durant is his favorite player.

4.  He enjoys reading about NBA players and about history.

5.  His favorite thing to do outside is play baseball.

6.  FIFA Soccer is his favorite video game to play on the Xbox 360.

7.  He enjoys drawing a lot.

8.  He no longer shares a room with his brother.  Now he and his lizard, DJ share a room.

9.  He is playing his first season of baseball right now and learning a lot while he's having fun.

10.  He is taking Tae Kwon Do through the P.E. program at his school and is currently a blue belt.

Seeing my friends and family at our baby shower next Saturday, scheduling our 3D/4D ultrasound appointment, and going back to see my OB in 3 weeks (then every 2!)

My gestational diabetes screening came back normal.  I am so thankful for that!

Golden

This week Isaac celebrated his Golden birthday.  He turned 10 years old on April 10th.  He was so excited.  But, before that, we celebrated Easter.  Clarence had to work Easter night, so he had to rest most of the day.  So our Easter plans were restricted to Saturday.  We had a small Easter egg hunt with some of the boys' cousins.

Isaac's birthday was on Wednesday so we celebrated by taking him to Cheddars for dinner and then having cake and ice cream here at home.  My parents and his Aunt and Uncle joined us for dinner and then cake and ice cream and presents.  We didn't have his typical birthday party this year, but he still had a great birthday!
Isaac is a big OKC Thunder fan, so he had an OKC birthday!
homemade OKC cake

Kevin Durant is his favorite player

growing up so fast!

opening his gift from us - Kevin Durant shoes that he designed on the Nikeid website

Kd's that he has been wearing as much as possible since he got them!  He has even slept in them.

hlm - 26 weeks

I thought that I would do these posts every week, but that started to feel a little monotonous for me, so now I think I'll post every other week or once a month.

Size of HLM:
She's the size of a head of lettuce, and feels just as big when she's stretched out or rolling around! :)

Total Weight Gain:

3 lbs since last appointment, 5 lbs total

Maternity Clothes:

To work - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts. Always maternity pants.

On the weekend - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts and non-maternity pants with stretchy waistbands.

Gender:

GIRL

Movement:

She moves all the time, but I have started to notice a pattern to what time of day she is most active. I think I'm going to start documenting it so I can compare it to when she's awake after she's born. Now others can feel and see her move when watching my stomach.

What I Miss:

Nothing yet

Cravings:

Fruit popsicles, Frozen Coke flavored Icees and Frozen Lemonade from Taco Bell

Symptoms:

Carpal tunnel in my right arm has gotten pretty bad.  But, I had it with both of the boys, and it goes away once baby arrives.

Best Moment of the Week:

I still love watching her move and trying to figure exactly what body part is moving or being stretched out.

What I'm Looking Forward To:

Family pictures next weekend, her baby showers a couple of weeks after that and the 3D/4D ultrasound.

It has been two weeks since my gestational diabetes screening, and I haven't heard anything from my doctor yet.  So, I am cautiously assuming that everything was ok.  The lab results should be posted online soon so I can find out for sure.
