Happy Birthday Alex!

Well, my baby boy, Alex turned 4 years old this past Tuesday. We had a party for him yesterday with family and friends. Here are a few pictures of our day. We had two very special visitors stop by for a little bit before the party started. Scroll down to find out just who!

The Memphis Zoo

This weekend the boys, Clarence and I went to visit Selmer, TN and the Memphis Zoo. We drove to Selmer on Saturday. We visited some of Clarence's family that evening and spent the night in Selmer. Then, on Sunday morning we drove to Memphis so we could see the Zoo. The boys had a great time. Alex was so excited to see the Lions and Tigers. Alex wanted so badly to pet a lion, and Clarence told him that he didn't think he would be able to. Well, little did we know, they had this! It is from a lion that lived at the Memphis Zoo for a long time and died there a few years ago. Alex was hesitant at first, but finally touched it.

Halloween Fun

Well, Halloween is long gone now, but I am just now getting around to posting some pictures we took. Saturday we started our Halloween fun with a trip to Antioch Church of Christ for Trunk or Treating. The boys had a great time with their cousins, Jaylen, Camden, Devin and Donevyn. After Trunk or Treat, we went to Pops and Nana's house for some pizza and playing. After we finished there, we went to West Nashville to trick or treat in my parents' neighborhood and Clarence's Aunt and Uncle's neighborhood. The boys had a great time. Until... Alex got scared by a couple of older kids dressed up to scare the people who came to their house to trick or treat. After that, Alex was done. Isaac thought they were funny and just kept right on to the rest of the houses on the street. After that trick or treating, we ended our night with cupcakes with Kelli and Steve. The boys had a great time playing with Austin and Aiden and eating cupcakes. Here are pictures from our fun Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Well my boys woke up this morning hunting for their costumes and begging us to put them on once they found them. So, even though they won't be trick-or-treating until later in the day, here they are all dressed up and ready to go!

A little of what we've been up to this week

Well, the end of Fall Break has come! We had a great week. Tuesday the boys and I went to our friend Kelli H.'s daughter's birthday party at the bowling alley. The boys had a great time! Alex won the first game and Isaac won the second (just between the two of them; there were many other girls playing. But, I didn't keep up with their scores.) Then after the boys came home and took at nap, we went to the Walden Pumpkin Farm. Nana, Pops, Jaylen and Bryce went that afternoon as well, so the boys had a great time seeing them. The rest of the week was spent at home just hanging out, cleaning out and cleaning up the house, and laundry. I think I did at least one load of laundry every day this week! It never ends! Today we helped our friends Kelli and Steve C. move into their new place. We've helped them move twice in eight days, but hey, that's what friends are for. They better not move again for at least a year! :) Well it is now 12:45 am, so I guess I should go to bed! I'm excited about this afternoon though, I am hoping to get to go visit Miss Kennedy and Mrs. Reigen! Good night all! :)
