Back to School

The boys started back to school today.  Isaac is in the 4th grade, and Alex is in the 1st grade.  This will be Isaac's last year in Elementary school.  He will go to Middle school next year, and he and Alex won't be in the same school again until they are 5th and 8th graders.  Isaac was so grown up today.  Since we went to preview night last night at school, he knew right where to go this morning.  He didn't need me to walk him to class.  Alex, on the other hand, is on a different floor of the school building.  So, I walked him downstairs to his classroom, and he threw a slight fit about having to stay at school.  Thankfully, his teacher, Mrs. Guisinger (Isaac's 1st grade teacher) helped me by talking to him so I could get out of there.  I like to let them ride the bus home on the first and last day of school, so I took off work today so they could ride the bus home after their half day.  When they got off the bus this afternoon, they were both all smiles and said they had a great day.  Alex said he's ready to go back to school on Friday, so I guess today was a success.  We'll see when Friday morning comes, I guess.  They are out of school tomorrow, so I am taking them and their cousins, Jay and Cam, roller skating.  They went several times this summer with the YMCA Summer Camp, so it should be a fun time!  Here are some of the pictures I took today of the boys first day of school.
