10 things

I was looking at my posts from last April to remember what we were doing this time last year, and I realized that I didn't post ten things about Isaac like I did last year on his birthday.  So, here it goes:

1.  He wears size L and XL (or adult small) shirts, size 12 pants and size 5.5 shoes (up two shoe sizes from last year!)

2.  The Oklahoma City Thunder is his favorite NBA team.

3.  OKC Thunder player, Kevin Durant is his favorite player.

4.  He enjoys reading about NBA players and about history.

5.  His favorite thing to do outside is play baseball.

6.  FIFA Soccer is his favorite video game to play on the Xbox 360.

7.  He enjoys drawing a lot.

8.  He no longer shares a room with his brother.  Now he and his lizard, DJ share a room.

9.  He is playing his first season of baseball right now and learning a lot while he's having fun.

10.  He is taking Tae Kwon Do through the P.E. program at his school and is currently a blue belt.

hlm - 7 months

Size of HLM:

Total Weight Gain:

2 lbs since last appointment, 7 lbs total

Maternity Clothes:

To work - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts. Always maternity pants.
On the weekend - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts and non-maternity pants with stretchy waistbands.

Gender:

GIRL
Movement:

She tends to move the most around 9:30 am, 12:30, 3:30 pm and 9:30 pm.  She moves at other times too, but these are the times that I noticed she moves the most.  I've noticed too that alot of her movements are low on my stomach.

What I Miss:

Nothing

Cravings:

Lemonade!

Symptoms:

Carpal tunnel is really the only thing that is bothering me these days.  My OB suggested I get a brace to wear on it at night.

Best Moment of the Week:

Another good visit with my OB and one more week until our first baby shower

What I'm Looking Forward To:

Seeing my friends and family at our baby shower next Saturday, scheduling our 3D/4D ultrasound appointment, and going back to see my OB in 3 weeks (then every 2!)

My gestational diabetes screening came back normal.  I am so thankful for that!

Golden

This week Isaac celebrated his Golden birthday.  He turned 10 years old on April 10th.  He was so excited.  But, before that, we celebrated Easter.  Clarence had to work Easter night, so he had to rest most of the day.  So our Easter plans were restricted to Saturday.  We had a small Easter egg hunt with some of the boys' cousins.

Isaac's birthday was on Wednesday so we celebrated by taking him to Cheddars for dinner and then having cake and ice cream here at home.  My parents and his Aunt and Uncle joined us for dinner and then cake and ice cream and presents.  We didn't have his typical birthday party this year, but he still had a great birthday!
Isaac is a big OKC Thunder fan, so he had an OKC birthday!
homemade OKC cake

Kevin Durant is his favorite player

growing up so fast!

opening his gift from us - Kevin Durant shoes that he designed on the Nikeid website

Kd's that he has been wearing as much as possible since he got them!  He has even slept in them.

hlm - 26 weeks

I thought that I would do these posts every week, but that started to feel a little monotonous for me, so now I think I'll post every other week or once a month.

Size of HLM:
She's the size of a head of lettuce, and feels just as big when she's stretched out or rolling around! :)

Total Weight Gain:

3 lbs since last appointment, 5 lbs total

Maternity Clothes:

To work - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts. Always maternity pants.

On the weekend - a combination of some non-maternity shirts and maternity shirts and non-maternity pants with stretchy waistbands.

Gender:

GIRL

Movement:

She moves all the time, but I have started to notice a pattern to what time of day she is most active. I think I'm going to start documenting it so I can compare it to when she's awake after she's born. Now others can feel and see her move when watching my stomach.

What I Miss:

Nothing yet

Cravings:

Fruit popsicles, Frozen Coke flavored Icees and Frozen Lemonade from Taco Bell

Symptoms:

Carpal tunnel in my right arm has gotten pretty bad.  But, I had it with both of the boys, and it goes away once baby arrives.

Best Moment of the Week:

I still love watching her move and trying to figure exactly what body part is moving or being stretched out.

What I'm Looking Forward To:

Family pictures next weekend, her baby showers a couple of weeks after that and the 3D/4D ultrasound.

It has been two weeks since my gestational diabetes screening, and I haven't heard anything from my doctor yet.  So, I am cautiously assuming that everything was ok.  The lab results should be posted online soon so I can find out for sure.
